Here you are in Turkey, perhaps for a lifetime or for a short period, who knows!

What ever got you here, destiny or pure luck; you have a lot of things to learn in a rather short period.

This is why this site was designed in order to help you find the exact information you need with the required degree of precision and this without loosing time searching in books and encyclopedias. Let us guide you... There is no need to wind up completely lost in a labyrinth of complicated knowledge.

For those wishing to discover Turkey, this is the beginning of an enriching and pleasant experience. But in order to achieve such a goal, you must open you heart, listen and deploy a genuine effort.

Rapidly you will realize that you may have to bring some adjustments to your long established set of values. At the very beginning of your journey, please, do not expect of yourself the very high performance, and the many accomplishments you used to attain at home. This tempo seems to be possible only in the North American hemisphere.

All our team is at your disposition to assist you when in need. A question, which may appear very complex to you, may be very easy to solve for our veteran team of the foreign colony!!! Do not hesitate to ask for help.

One of the major issues you will eventually face will be on how to deal with the question of language? For those expecting to be in Turkey for a limited period of time, although I have great admiration for the efforts spent to learn the language, I must stress that you will most likely progress rather slowly and may surely feel discouraged. Learning Turkish requires considerable efforts and a strong persistence. For those married to a Turkish citizen, it is essential that you learn the language correctly and systematically, otherwise, you may find yourself isolated in the ghetto life of the ex-patriots, a style of life where you will never really belong. It is very difficult to understand, appreciate and love Turkey without an adequate knowledge of the language.

As far as cooking goes, almost all ingredients can be found to assure your survival in this foreign land. Very few things remain unavailable! Traffic is probably the main subject that will strain you patience! Be aware of this fact and when boarding your car, make the necessary adjustments so you will not blow up on your way to work!
