Interview with Cumali Önen
Tell us about yourself:
I was born in Adana but I feel as a tourist myself now, I stayed long time in
London. In London I was working as an interpreter and chef, I had two lovely
job and I enjoyed ıt every second.
What made you come to Turkey?
There is nowhere like home. You know what I mean, visiting my family I miss
them a lot.
What do you do in your daily life?
Take fresh air of Adana and try to relax
Family?
Unfortunately I am single.
Can you compare your first days here with today?
I am coming in Adana my second time after ten years that was so much different
to me .I arrived in Istanbul airport in February everywhere was snow. After
little while I flew to Adana.
Has living in Turkey influenced your approach to life?
Actually I missed here specially Adana kebab and go to fresh air Seyhan dam
this place so changed now.
Turkish language?
There is no problem my Turkish language, I hope my English language as well
I speak other languages but let's keep this secret so I speak three languages
so far.
Let's talk about the region you are living in?
I live in the center of Adana. Ten years ago and now there is so much difference
now in my opinion. You got to see with your eyes. I will give some examples;
new 5 star hotels, new apartments with view of dam and many new things
Have you traveled in Turkey? Tell us your discoveries
My good discoveries in Adana I could say.
What is your preferred characteristic trait of Turks?
PLEASE NO LIARS, I could so difficulty about this word in my side I do not like
lard of any nationality I am honest so I do accept people like me but sometime
this is not easy
What was the annoying one?
People who like lying and dishonest with using people until they reach the target.
Turkish Cuisine?
I love Adana kebab and dolma. I like my kebab with chili sauce
Any suggestion to new comers to Turkey
I hope and wish I WILL HAVE FANTASTIC time in Turkey. If anybody want to see

Any suggestion to people planning to visit your region?
Must be Adana. There are various places to visit here such as museums, nice
kebabs, castles, and lovely, weather many things you will never see around the
world. Keep this advice and try it. Guidance is free by me.
