For Kids - Istanbul

Besides sports activities offered by well known clubs, play grounds and sand ponds in the parks or discovering the beauties of Istanbul there are some more activities which may attract your children's attraction.

Recently opened Istanbul Dolphinarium complex offers shows of dolphins, seals whales and walruses as well as the chance to swim with the dolphins.

Şişli Belediyesi Bilim Merkezi is a center in Fulya, built to attract the attention of children to science. Math puzzles, surprising exhibitions, workshops, summer schools and conferences are among the facilities offered.

Eden’s Garden Summer Discovery Camp runs from June 22nd to Agust 28th.   The  camp caters to children ages 1-8, with both half and full day programs. Weekly themes include Ecology, Cooking, Sports, Ceramics, Creative Drama, Recycling, Dance, Consctruction, Bookmaking, and Water fun.  The teachers speak both English and Turkish.

Toy Museum Istanbul is an interesting site both for childrend and adults.

Feshane Children's Entertainment Park has been designed especially for children. After your children have fun in the open-air park, if you still have the energy, take a tour of the nearby market in Feshane (Golden Horn - Eyüp).

For outdoor sports Galatasaray Pony Club offers private lessons and group instruction to young riders.

Istanbul’s first public stationary planetarium “Discovery Sphere” (Keşif Küresi) has been opened at the Rahmi M. Koç Museum on the grounds of Lengerhane.

Pin Club is the only bowling hall in the city, which makes bowling more fun for children

Smartkids is an after-school and weekend enrichment program that offers a complementary developmental opportunity for children between the ages of 4 and 14.

Indoor and outdoor carting rinks are also other alternatives for your children to spend joyous time.

Third Dimension! Digital 3D Cinema, defined as fantastic, surprising, breath-taking, amusing, thrilling and an eye-popping movie experience, in Cinebonus G-Mall Maçka and Cinebonus Kadıköy Nautilus.

Boğaziçi Zoo and Botanic Park is located in Darıca, which is about 40 minutes away from the city center on Ankara highway. The park also has gift shops and a restaurant and attractive not only for your children but for you too.

Yalvaç Abi, is the first children's bookstore in Istanbul. It is at Nişantaşı and offers educational publications for parents, PC games, films and toys too.

The children's plays are mostly staged on Saturdays and Sundays and the program is given in This Weekend in Istanbul section.
