Meanwhile mothers-to-be need to adjust their wardrobe, especially during the later months of pregnancy. Shops called Hamile Butik (boutique for mother-to-be) prepare new collections every year, and most collections are comfortable as well as fashionable. In particular, international brands such as Mothercare, Chicco and Premaman are most likely to carry fashions that appeal to most foreigners, though of course, you will pay a premium for their brands. The above mentioned stores also sell cribs, strollers, car seats, baby clothes and more. For the largest selection of ‘baby' stuff (though not maternity clothes unfortunately), you would be best to visit one of the Toys 'R' Us stores.
To learn about the Turkish traditions surrounding pregnancy and birth, please consult the sections titled Alla Turca , then the sub heading, Traditions.
We wish a pleasant pregnancy period and an easy delivery to all pregrant mothers .
