Metro Group (Real Hypermarkets, Metro Cash&Carry) covers the school expenses of 1000 girls within the framework of “Daddy Send me to School Project” realized in cooperation with Milliyet Newspaper and ÇYDD
(Association for Support of Contemporary Living). A team from Metro Turkey visited 45 girls in 10 cities (Adana, Bursa, Bodrum, Antakya, Gaziantep, Osmaniye, İzmir, Trabzon, Konya and Muş ). They published a book titled “Impossible Fairies”
composed of the true life stories of girls who are poor but successful at school.
The income of the book is directly transferred to the Impossible Fairies (İmkansız Periler) Fund of ÇYDD. Former President of ÇYDD, Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan, determined a target within this project and with the income of the book Metro is going to cover the school expenses of 80 girls in Muş. The girls will start to go to school this year.
